The Watson Township Board of Supervisors hold their regular monthly meetings at the Watson Township Municipal Building at 4635 North State Route 44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740. (NOTE: If you are using a GPS unit to navigate to the building, ensure that you proceed North on Route 44 out of Jersey Shore, along Pine Creek. For some unknown reason, some units want you to proceed South out of the Jersey Shore area.)
The Watson Township Board of Supervisors plan to hold their 2019 Regular Monthly Meetings on the following dates: Organizational Meeting January 7, Regular Meeting January 24, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19, and the 2020 Organizational meeting on January 6. All the Meetings are open to the public and will be called to order at 7:00 PM. The Meetings are held at the Township Building 4635 North State Route 44, Jersey Shore.
2019 Proposed Budget
The Watson Township Board of Supervisors have completed the proposed 2019 budget which can be reviewed by contacting the Township Secretary at 570-398-7829.
NEW ZONING AND LAND USE ORDINANCE
The draft of the new “Zoning and Land Use Ordinance” has been completed and is available for public inspection by request. If you are interested in reviewing the proposed ordinance and zoning map, contact Supervisor L. Gene Zinck at 570-398-1992. UPDATE: The new ordinance was approved for adoption at the monthly meeting held on March 21, 2019. The new ordinance will take effect upon approval of legal counsel.
RESIDENTIAL TIRE COLLECTION DAY FRIDAY, MAY 17 & SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2019 FRIDAY 8:00 – 4:00 PM SATURDAY 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will once again be holding a Residential Tire Collection Event on the above date and time. Free to residents of Brown, Cummings, Limestone, McHenry, Mifflin, Nippenose, Porter, Watson, and Piatt Township, and Jersey Shore Boro. residents, up to 12 car or light duty truck tires will be accepted for disposal. If you have more than 12 tires or large truck or tractor tires the following charges will apply. $3.00 each for car or light truck tires, and $8.00 each for large truck or tractor tires. These tires will be accepted at the Authority’s Recycling Center in McElhattan. Proof of residency is required.
This collection event is not open to tire dealers, service station operators, repair garages, tire sale outlets or similar facilities. Tires from these facilities will be accepted at the Authority’s Recycling Center in McElhattan during their regular business hours for a nominal fee.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENT
August 23rd. & 24th., 2019
The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Friday, August 23, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturday, August 24, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Authority’s Recycling Center in Wayne Township. Latex & Oil based paint will not be accepted at this collection event. Visit the landfills’ website for ways to manage your paint.
Due to regulatory requirements, business, commercial and industrial entities are not eligible.
